Hi Jackie! I am new to your blog but I have shamelessly trolled it and loved every word! 🙂 Thank you for spending the time and energy to share your story with us. I am about to embark on my own adventure to Nepal (first time traveler, yikes) and I was wondering if you had ever flown China Eastern Airlines and what your experience was with carry on? Once again, THANK YOU for the tremendous value you are adding to the world by documenting your experiences!

Hi Emily! Thanks so much for your kind words and for saying hi, and congrats on your big travel plans! I’ve never flown China Eastern Airlines, so unfortunately I can’t speak to that. What is it that you’re worried about?

Thanks for getting back to me! I’ve decided to take a tip from you and only take a carry on, but supposedly they have an 11 pound limit. Is that something I can potentially take my chances with? Or should I swallow my pride and check a bag?

Wow 11 pounds is strict. Usually it’s about 7kg for a personal item and 10kg for a main bag. 11 pounds is nothing! That is tough, because I suppose you risk having to pay a fee or check on the spot. I’d probably risk it 😉 Just make your bag look nice and small!!
