We donate a portion of the proceeds from every single trip to Tomorrow’s Air, collectively and permanently removing at least 600kg of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere each year.
We extend a one-time invitation to you as you book your trip with us to contribute to offsetting your own carbon emissions through Sustainable Travel International. Your donation helps fund various carbon offset projects across the world. 100% of your donation goes directly to Sustainable Travel International. This service is proudly provided by our booking partner WeTravel.
On our Northern Patagonia trips (Chile), we partner with certified B Corp BirdsChile and local NGO Legado Chile to spend some of our time volunteering with their current rewilding projects. This is a chance to get our hands dirty and give back to one of the countries we so love to enjoy.
We get off the beaten path, and then we use our bodies to propel us from place to place, whether we are hiking, cycling, or paddling, you won’t find any city bus sight-seeing tours around here.
In all of our destinations, we carefully select and work with local companies and guides, with whom we’ve built relationships over many years. This not only ensures that our dollars are staying in and contributing sustainably to the destinations we love, but to the people and companies we believe in.
We practice Leave No Trace on the trail and encourage you to do so as well. The seven principles of LNT are: plan ahead and prepare, travel & camp on durable surfaces, dispose of waste properly, leave what you find (unless it’s trash – you can pick that up), minimize campfire impacts, respect wildlife, be considerate of others.
We are big believers in refilling and reusing water bottles. We’ll always encourage you to carry your own reusable water bottle/coffee mug/vessel of choice and help the environment by avoiding single-use plastic whenever possible.
When you purchase merch from us, we contribute 1% of our revenue to carbon removal. We do this through Stripe Climate, a coalition of small businesses like ours, which works with a multidisciplinary group of scientific experts to find and evaluate the most promising carbon removal technologies, and aggregates funds to help them lower their costs and scale up quickly.
We are doing our best to use our platform as a voice box for the planet, educating ourselves and sharing what we learn with our travelers alongside us. If you have any questions or ideas about how we can better participate in combating climate change, we encourage you to get in touch with us.
