With a heart full of gratitude, I leave Alaska today. The past 10 days were packed full of outdoor adventure, seeing so many of my favorite people at the Adventure Travel World Summit, and creating new connections, ideas, and opportunities for my work.
I am so grateful to be part of a group of passionate people who care so much about the world and strive to find the best ways to share, preserve, and explore it together. This is exactly how I want to be spending the days of my life.
After a troubling and challenging summer, I leave Alaska with plans, ideas, optimism, positivity, a renewed perspective, and a huge dose of love from my Adventure Travel Trade Association family. This is the power of adventure travel, of immersing in nature, of pursuing our passions in our work and life and surrounding ourselves with like-minded people. I am rejuvenated.
Alaska was the jumping off point for continuing on my nomadic journey, backpack in tow. This year, if all goes to plan, I will visit several new destinations (stay tuned!), and, as it turns out, I’ll be going back to a few familiar ones as well.
Many of you read my piece entitled ‘“Salta” (Leap) and the Net Will Appear‘ and know that taking the leap has been a recurring theme that has presented itself to me in so many ways this (leap) year that I cannot possibly deny it or call it a coincidence.
Yesterday, the ATTA announced the location of next year’s Summit. It will be in Salta, Argentina.
This next year of travel, starting today, I embark on my own personal pilgrimage to Salta, pushing on into the unknown, uncharted territory, lighting my way as I go. I invite you to come with me. Stick with me here on the blog, follow my photo stories on Instagram, and subscribe to my YouTube channel, as I will be posting videos from my travels there starting with my trip to Alaska.
The leap continues. #keepjumping #homeiswherethetoothbrushis
